The Salvation Army Commissioning

This year I volunteered as a photographer for a Salvation Army event in Gwinnett County, Georgia. I coordinated with my team of two other photographer employees and a videographer to capture the worship event. We were primarily finding content for their social media page @salvationarmysouth. The Social Media Coordinator was looking for images with context, emotion, and community. They wanted the photos to tell a story and give the viewer a sense of experience.

They were also looking for specific images of things like worship, the speakers, their brass band, happy faces, dancing, flags waving, prayerful moments, audience engagement, and behind the scenes staff. Between running back and forth to deliver SD cards, the Social Media Coordinator requested more wide shot images to provide a sense of context and group; of which images are included near the end.
